Biography
Erik Tischofer specializes in audit, assurance, and technical accounting matters involving U.S. GAAP, IFRS, SEC reporting, PCAOB auditing standards, AICPA GAAS, SSARS engagements, and firm quality-management requirements. He has experience performing and supervising audits under both U.S. GAAP and IFRS reporting frameworks, including complex accounting, disclosure, and audit documentation matters.
His technical accounting focus includes revenue recognition, fair value measurement under ASC 820 and IFRS 13, Level 3 valuations, derivatives, debt and equity instruments, complex financing arrangements, stock-based compensation, business combinations, consolidation and variable interest entity analysis, investment company accounting, inventory, related-party transactions, going concern, contingencies, and SPAC or de-SPAC transactions. He also assists with technical accounting research, preparation and review of technical accounting memoranda, financial statement presentation, disclosure analysis, and documentation of accounting conclusions.
