Biography
Born in 1961, Ralph decided after both the German and French A-Levels to study economic sciences and finished his studies in winter 1988/89 in Saarbruecken, Germany, where he specialized in accounting, business evaluation, merger and acquisitions, domestic and international taxation, management of companies and groups. He wrote his thesis about the "differences in audit in the United Kingdom, France and Germany". During his studies he passed the base training of Arthur Andersen, Germany, one of the former Big 6.
Ralphs career start was at a German group Accountants, Auditors, Tax and Business Consultants and lawyers specializing in family owned businesses, where I ended up becoming one of the seven majority partners at the age of 37. The group had 700 staff at the time and Ralph was managing partner in Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt, Dillingen and Saarbrucken.
Ralph left this group and founded the actis group at the age of 41 in 2003. Since we rejoined Alliott Group in 2003, Ralph became Deputy Chair and later Chair of the EMEA region and part of the Worldwide Board of the group.
