J. Balasubramaniam (‘Bala’) appointed Deputy Chair of APAC region

Alliott Global Alliance (AGA) is delighted to announce that J. Balasubramaniam (Bala), Managing Partner at Singapore accounting member firm JBS Practice Public Accounting Corporation (JBS), has been appointed Deputy Chair of the APAC region.
Effective 1 August, 2024, Bala succeeds Amie Cheung, Principal at Hong Kong accounting member firm Lawrence Cheung CPA who has served with distinction. Bala’s appointment comes at a time of significant regional membership expansion, with the alliance now offering legal and/or accounting services coverage in 19 countries across the APAC region.
In his new position supporting Scott Jago, the APAC region’s Chair, Bala will play a more senior role in advising on a strategy aimed at maximising the alliance’s value proposition for member firms and the regional and international companies they serve.
Bala comments:
“I am honored to have been appointed as the Deputy Chair of the APAC Advisory Committee, and I look forward to assisting Scott and the Worldwide Board with the upcoming phase of AGA's strategic plans for the APAC region.
