Allan Hall Business Advisors Wins Accounting Firm of the Year at 2026 SMSF Awards
02 November 2026
Allan Hall Business Advisors, Alliott Global Alliance's accounting, audit and tax representative in Sydney, Australia, has been named Accounting Firm of the Year at the 2026 SMSF Awards.
This adds another prestigious national award to the firm's achievements this year.
The award, presented in Sydney at a ceremony on 16 October, recognised excellence across Australia's specialist self-managed superannuation sector.
Allan Hall was also named a finalist for Advice Firm of the Year, further recognising the firm's expertise in accounting, superannuation and financial advisory services.
Recognising Excellence in Australia's Retirement Savings Sector
In Australia, superannuation refers to the country's retirement savings system, through which employers generally make compulsory contributions towards employees' retirement.
A self-managed superannuation fund (SMSF) is a privately managed retirement savings fund, typically established by individuals or families seeking greater control over their retirement investments. Unlike conventional pension or superannuation funds, SMSF members are responsible for investment decisions and ensuring their fund complies with Australia's taxation and superannuation laws.
SMSFs are regulated by the Australian Taxation Office. The technical and compliance responsibilities involved create an important role for specialist accountants and advisers.
Presented by SMSF Adviser, the annual SMSF Awards recognise professionals and organisations demonstrating technical excellence, innovation, strong client relationships and outstanding service within this highly regulated sector.
The Accounting Firm of the Year award specifically recognises expertise in SMSF administration, tax compliance and advisory services, alongside client outcomes, operational efficiency and responsiveness to regulatory change.
Celebrating Specialist Expertise and Client Service
Allan Hall's achievement reflects the dedication of its specialist superannuation division, led by Sally Rorke, Associate Director and Head of Superannuation, alongside Nicole Woolley, Associate Director.
The team supports approximately 550 self-managed superannuation funds, combining technical expertise, proactive client engagement and close collaboration with Allan Hall's broader accounting and financial planning specialists.
Commenting on the award, Sally Rorke says:
"We're very excited to be chosen as SMSF Adviser's Accounting Firm of the Year amongst all of the other deserving nominees."
This is very much a team award. I'm incredibly fortunate to work with a group of people who genuinely care about our clients, support each other and take enormous pride in the work we do to achieve real strategic outcomes for our clients."
Nine firms were shortlisted for Accounting Firm of the Year, making Allan Hall's selection as the national winner particularly meaningful.
Building on National Industry Recognition
The latest achievement follows Allan Hall's success at the 2026 Australian Accounting Awards, where the firm received two national honours for Winner of Multiservice Firm of the Year and Winner of SMSF Firm of the Year.
The firm was also recognised in the 2026 Beaton Client Choice Awards, receiving Winner of Best Business Advice Firm (under AUD$30M) and Finalist of Best Accounting & Consulting Services Firm (under AUD$30M).
Together, these awards acknowledge Allan Hall's technical expertise, integrated approach to professional services and commitment to building trusted, long-term client relationships.
